Right now, all donations go toward securing a 501 (C) (3) status, estimated cost of $1k. All subsequent funds will go towards a physical location for Maslow’s Meals, covering expenses like leasing, utilities, and real estate fees. Based on current estimates, operating for one year will cost between $125,000 and $250,000, depending on real estate prices and the number of people we serve.

If we don’t reach our fundraising goals, every donation will be redirected to Crisis Services of North Alabama, supporting our local domestic violence shelter and providing critical assistance to those in need.

We plan to file as a charitable organization as soon as possible, with estimated legal and filing costs of $1,000. This official status will make future donations tax-deductible and ensure full transparency by making all IRS information about Maslow’s Meals publicly available.
